Celebrate Women in beer!

Welcome to Women’s History Month. With snow two days ago and weather into the 70s by the weekend, it feels a bit like the long history of women in brewing. Where women once dominated the brewing space, the industrial revolution all but wiped out women brewers in urban centers. We pay our utmost respect to the daughters, mothers, and grandmothers making beer today. Women are continuing the millennia-old traditions of brewers the world over today.

It’s a full month with some wee traditions of our own making. DC Beer co-owner Brandy Holder is hosting the annual Womxn’s Panel at Other Half on Thursday, March 19, 2026. The Womxn in Craft Beverage: Excellence in Industry Panel runs from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Tickets here.
Sunday March 22 is the DC Beer March Beer Share at Bluejacket. Common People, our collaboration beer with Bluejacket honoring our decade-plus bringing you DC brews news you can use, is available in cans. Reserve your spot here. Get some cans of Common People while you’re there!
As we continue to support women in beer, Jasmine is recovering well, but the Liquid Instrusion duo continue to deal with hospital bills. The Genetically Unapologetic Shirt Fundraiser for Jasmine is still going, so grab a shirt and support!… and support Black-owned breweries all month, and all year, long.
What beer news have you heard? Check out some of our upcoming events and some other noteworthy brew events this month. 👇

The $38 tickets also includes two 12oz draft beers from Other Half, 2 slices of Andy’s Pizza, and a donation to The Pink Boots Society.
