DC Beer Newsletter - OctoBEER 2025
Welcome to the best & busiest (beer) month, DC Beer community! If you're with the feds or a contractor, watch our social media for any potential shutdown deals! We'll get through this.

We call ourselves a community because that’s what we are and what we hope to foster as we look at all those autumnal events and festivities ahead. As we head into fall, grab some DC Beer and Womxn’s Brew Culture Club swag to rep around town.
If you’ve not heard of episode 217 yet, give it a listen. Our Snallygaster 2025 Preview features Greg Engert, the talent behind the last dozen Snallygaster festivals, with lucky number 13 sneaking up on us on Saturday, October 11.
With fall events on everyone’s minds, October kicks off with Wanderland (10/4) and Snallygaster, and is bookended by the DC Brewers Guild’s Really Locale Invitational in Anacostia at The Bridge District, right across from the brand-new Atlas Brew Works (10/25).
Also happening Saturday, October 25, the Womxn’s Brew Culture Club event taking place at Baltimore’s HEX Fermentation, and will be led by our Baltimore Branch lead Amber!
While the fundraiser for the DC Rape Crisis Center has ended, you can always contribute or bid on the auction.
The Genetically Unapologetic Shirt Fundraiser for Jasmine DIil of Liquid Intrusion is still going, so grab a shirt and support!

BREWERY ANNIVERSARIES. Happy Beerthday to our friends at:
Sapwood Cellars turns 7 (10/4), Lost Generation turns 3 (11/1), and Other Half DC turns 5 (tba).

Join us for a very exclusive afternoon at ChurchKey on Sunday, 10/5, where you can enjoy a selection of unique and rare bottles. This members only gathering is extra special, as Churchkey is giving us 20% off bottles. And what makes it even better: if you a buy a bottle from CK, you’re allowed to bring in a bottle from your collection to share with the crowd. This event is for our Patreon members, but please purchase a pint—they’ve got 50+ drafts—or a bottle to share from their massive beer list with the group that early afternoon. They’ve got additional food and beverage options as well. As always, please read the rules before RSVPing.

Stay tuned into our social media for updates, panels and guests.
Wednesday, October 15th. 6:30-9pm - Capital Trivia x DC Beer @ Other Half Brewing, Ivy City - Come party with Jordan, listen to good music, enjoy some hazies, and play trivia. It’s seriously fun, but not too serious.

Welcome to the Baltimore Branch of the Womxn's Brew Culture Club! This month we are meeting Meaghan, the owner and maker of HEX Ferments! Join us at HEX Superette for a fun and educational experience. Connect with fellow brew enthusiasts and learn all about fermentation from the experts at HEX Ferments. We want to include ALL fermented beverages, not just beer, and this will be a great gathering for those who don't do beer! Our Baltimore Branch lead, Amber, will host this in-person event. It will be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and taste some delicious fermented goodies. Don't miss out on this unique gathering! As always, The Womxn's Brew Culture Club is open to all women, non-binary and woman-identifying folks who are interested in craft beverages, education, and strive for inclusivity and equality in the craft beverage industry.

Our October Beer of the Month with The Brew Shop is, drumroll please…
Sojourn Fermentory’s Dreherhaus Vienna Lager. And an extra perk… DC Beer Patreon members get 10% off!
